Perhaps You Have Heard
Please don't tell anyone, but I have a secret girlfriend. Her name is Rebecca and she writes this blog called Rebecca At Large. Rebecca has written three posts so far about a topic near and dear to her heart, Radio Paradise. Only her dogs and cats and maybe her husband are more important than Radio Paradise to her. These folks could use some help, and there's a petition. If we small folk don't care about each other, the big folk can pretty much have things the way they want them, and that typically costs us little folks more money. And tell Rebecca that her secret boyfriend sent you.

I love Radio Paradise!! I definitely signed!! The variety on radio keeps shrinking as the major corporation tries to capitalize on the "hits" so you end up hearing the same song at least 15x/day! It's pathetic. We definitely need to try and save the little guys!
Can you believe I never heard of Radio Paradise? I need to look into this.
Claudia, tell it like it is.
Olives, right under the title, our mission clearly states, "this is where the critical and important information i disseminated to you." The really heavy shit goes to Crankster and Glamourpuss, the funny stuff to Mist, you get the idea. Rebecca got Radio Paradise.
CEO, tomorrow's blueberry muffins are on me. thank you soooo much.
and everyone - www.radioparadise.com is the best radiostation (internet and fm) that i've ever heard. but it is more to me than that. regardless, if you haven't checked it out, you should. you won't be sorry.
then you'll want to keep it going and perhaps you'll want to sign the petition, too.
again, thank you, ceo, for this.
wowi...will go and look just now:)
That's cool, man. I just read in the paper yesterday that the major American record labels have been forced to settle the latest payola suit and pay $12 million or so to some independent record labels or something.
It's a start.
Going to look at it now...I too never heard about it.
Peace
Done!
Now that you've told me...do you have to kill me?
cool Matt, and thanks.
Odat, you're my hero anyway, thanks for taking the time!
etin_l, nice meeting you. Please, go sign up.
Cinders, naturally, you're all into the competition, and the music.
spoon, no killing, I need you too much.
I can't helps someone stalk. Or can I?
dare I admit that I hadn't heard of radio paradise either, until I read something about it on Alithinks's blog? then I googled it.
culturally unaware am I, I tell 'ya...
holmes update, please..
Hi Winter. Please Go to Rebecca's site and she has the address for the petition. I signed it. It promotes competition. Milton Friedman would be proud.
CMHL, you know so much else. Holmes is fine, doing better than me. She wants to travel with Judy and meet all her 'friends'. She's heading South where it's warmer. Smart cat.
I'm late to the game, because I was sans Internet en France, but I blogged about RP today. I did manage to sign the petition from there (okay, so I had very limited Internet), but today I blogged it. Tomorrow I write to my congressmen.
I've also contacted someone at the local paper.
This is really important, and not just because Radio Paradise is near and dear to Rebecca, Allan, me, and many others. In another blog post you mentioned the dumbing down of America. Without internet radio, only the luckiest (those who live in a city with good college/public radio, or those who can afford satellite radio) will have access to quality, independent artists. Corporate radio just feeds people the lowest common denominator.
I could go on about this, but maybe I'll save my rage for the letters to the politicians.
